These quick sketches I did whilst I was at work in the galleries at the RAMM over a period of  two months, back in 2018. Most of them are between 5 & 30 minute sketches done in pen and any coloured pencils that there were to hand. It coincided with an exhibition on bird migration so there was plenty to look at, the reason that I did it in biro was that it couldn't be rubbed out or corrected. I had to work with what I had done and forcing me to practice my technique as I went.

some of them are a bit scruffy with a lot of crosshatching, but form was never my strong suit. I always preferred more of a depth of pallet
